Five products and one concept from GROHE convinced the jurors of the iF International Forum Design this year. Apart from the coveted “iF product design award”, the company also won the “iF communication design award” for its latest exhibit at ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for bathroom experience, building, energy, air-conditioning technology and renewable energies.

The project is a whimsical creation which is a joy to behold. The light installation utilises nearly two million light bulbs covering an area of approximately 6,300 sqm, and is located at the International Horticultural Exposition Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2011 at the Royal Rajapruek, Chiang Mai.

This is an open air sporting court and public plaza in the shanty town of Altos de Cazuca, Columbia, featuring 700 sqm of canopy structure comprising prefabricated dodecahedrons (solid figure with 12 faces) which look like a cluster of trees against the monotonous background of the slum.

It is a new cover protecting an assembly of archaeological thermal baths, forum and domus of Molinete Park, Cartagena, Spain. The light polycarbonate structure seeks to seamlessly integrate the dense city centre to the sloping park while creating a continuous perception of the whole site.
