THE PROJECT

The “Creative photography and  experimental visual media centre” is proposed under a mission to be a globally recognised center pioneering in groundbreaking photographic and visual design studies which will in turn aid the development process of other industries, enriching a community through its existence.

The center is broken down into three main components, The educational facility, the center’s production office and active public realm within the center.

THE DESIGN CONCEPT

The design concept is based on the need for permeability. The relationship between the people and the functions of each building needs to be enhanced.

The function of advertising of connecting physical people with a metaphysical process leads to the people becoming the glue, which runs through the cracks of the building gluing the function. The building and the people together resulted in the ultimate building concept.

FRAGMENTATION

Expressed through deconstruction, this is to allow the flow of people to permeate through the complex. The complex acts like a sieve which filters the people, allowing the process of osmosis to take place within the people, who consciously and subconsciously absorb the production functions and become enriched through this process.
