The internationally acclaimed Bengali architect Rafiq Azam spoke about his work at the SLIA Auditorium. He is a graduate of BUET (1989) and practices from his own studio “SHATOTTO architecture for green living”. His architecture is a fusion of tradition, nature and mysticism with significant harmony. The distinctive features of his designs are use of vegetation and roof gardens, a blend of materials with simplicity in expression, reviving traditional elements from old Dhaka.

The lecture was organised by the FORUMcsa, the alumni of City School of Architecture (Colombo).
