Lord Norman Foster has stepped down as the head of Norman Foster and Partners and handed the reigns to the little known Mouzhan Majidi in a new restructuring plan. This move comes as no surprise since 40 percent of the company was acquired by investment giant 3I for a reported £100 million. The world-renowned architectural practice has been valued at £300 million. The brand name of Norman Foster has been locked in to the deal, with Foster being kept on as the Chairperson. This new infusion of investment will be utilized to fund the planned expansion of the practice. The Iranian born Majidi has come up through the ranks, having joined the firm as a graduate in 1987 taking 20 years to reach the pinnacle.
