Leading Japanese Architect Kisho Kurokawa dies at age 73. He died on Friday the 12th October 2007 of heart failure in Tokyo. Kisho Kurokawa graduated from Kyoto University in 1957 and then studied at the Graduate School of Tokyo University under Kenzo Tange. In the 1960s he founded the Japanese avant-garde movement known as the Metabolist movement. Kurokawa is the founder and President of Kisho Kurokawa Architect & Associates, established in 1962. His major works include the Nakagin Capsule Tower, The Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
